This tutorial guide has been developed in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education and the program for the Latin Language course. The present guide is designed for use both in the classroom and extracurricular activities. It is recommended for full-time English speaking students of pharmaceutical universities.
The tutorial guide explains the principles underlying the formation of pharmaceutical terminology in Latin, as well as methods of its translation into English and Russian. It also presents the most common stems used in nonproprietary drug names, as well as the principles involved in the formation and translation of professional pharmaceutical terms.
