The third edition of the textbook provides up-to-date information on the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the visual system, as well as the history and pathogenesis of eye diseases. Particular attention is paid to modern approaches to diagnosis, medication, laser and surgical treatment of eye diseases, building on knowledge from related disciplines such as physiology, histology, and microbiology. The material is structured in accordance with the curriculum for higher medical education.
